My Journey: TRIP TO BANDUNG JULY 2009

Salam,

After few days back from Bandung, I've manage to write my experience in my blog... fuhh... exhausted but best giler... heheh. But ive no mood to write the long journey. So i have decided to just stress on the important place that I and my fellowship went to and few advise for your guide to Bandung in future.

14 July 2009 (Departing Day)

The flight should be on 10.00 pm, but AirAsia flight always delay, tulah yg murah tu... takper janji bleh pegi, semangat giler.... At last pkl 11.30 baru blust off . Sampai Airport Jakarta and settled everything at Immigration Counter about 2am. We cancelled our nite stay at Hotel Anugerah Transit early cause we thought tak berbaloi if we stay few hours jer and after that we have to continue our journey to Bandung. So sambil tunggu our driver (Pak Supir) kami just lepaking and tidur2 ayam di tingkat 2 (near Dunkin Donut). Ramai gak org yg lepak tidur kat sini, so tak takut sgt.

**Hot tip - Sampai kat arrival hall, stay away from 'ulat' 2 yg menawarkan macam2 perkhidmatan transport. Just straight go to musholla kat tingkat atas if you want to stay at the airport. Or take the legal taxi provided by the airport.

** Arrange your trip & your transport earlier, if u interested contact Kak Lina at teh_cumi@yahoo.co.uk . You will get good transport with honest driver with affordable price.

6.30am - Pak Hery (Our Supir) with Suzuki Van sampai awal and we didnt waste time and terus off to Bandung. Takes about 3hrs drive with less macet (trafic jam)

10.00 am - Try to find By Moritz Hostel ->Pak hery said the place is too small and less safety so he drived us to the nearest cheap Hotel. He reccomended Hotel Kenangan, more safety & comfort. The rate for week day Rp200.000 per nite for standard room. Extra bed charged Rp70.000. With Nasi Goreng for breakfast... Oklah tuuu. As for me, im not too choosy, as long as safety.

10.30am - Go to Pasar Baru, just near to our hotel and we had our lunch at Lantai 6 with yummy Nasi Bobok. Sedap lah & murah... ive tried Alpokat Juice (Too thick... susah nk abis... ok2 jer)

- Dah kenyang perot apa lagi, shoping kat Pasar Baru sampai puas, hehhe. Byk gak borong kat sini. I bought telekung & blouse. Try your bargain skill here... if u are lucky u will be surprise with the lowest price
- Visit Jl Riau with the famous factory outlet such as Herritage, The Summit, Formen & Terminal Tas. Didnt buy anything here :(
- Had our dinner at Sunda Restaurant and back to hotel for deep nice sleep

Pak Hery aka our Tourist Guide advise us to visit Kawah Putih first today.

7.00 am - Having Nasi Goreng telur dadar for breakfast

8.30 am - Depart from Hotel to Kawah Putih (Takes about 2-3 hrs journey)

9.30am - Stop by at Money Changer (mcm Bank jer Money Changer diorg nih, tp kat sini, mereka jual wang Rupiah dgn kadar berpatutan)

11.00am - Stop by at Strawberry farm. Best cause kat sini boleh petik sendiri strawberi sebanyak yg kita mahu. Sambil petik, sambil makan (hehe). Sekilo Rp30.000 (RM10.50), yg dah makan masa petik free jer.

***Tip: Kalau nak beli strawberi petik sendiri jgn pegi area nak ke Tangkuban Perahu coz harganya lebih mahal (abt Rp65.000) & jgn lupa beli dodol strawbery, sedap & boleh bawa balik 4 souvenier.

12.00pm - Move to Kawah Putih, bekas kawasan gunung berapi yang cantik & dingin. Must visit here. (Entrance Fee = Rp10.000 per person)

2.30 pm - Going down to tea plantation, ambik gambar sat.... nice view

3.30 pm - Visit Kolam Renang Air Panas Walini (Entrance Fee Rp12.000). Rugi jer pergi sini, takder apa2, kolam renang biase jer, tiadayang istimewa except, airnya hangat je. Not recomended place.

4.30 pm - Back to Bandung City & stop by at Cibaduyut (Lether Street), bought lether wallet for me & my hubby here :)

8.00 pm - Dinner at Sunda Restaurant. Must try, ayam kampung goreng, daging kepal, daging salai & most important, hot sambal, perghhhhh... (Murah gak kat sini)
Pastu, dah tak larat terus balik hotel & tidor...

Trip to Tangkuban Perahu (Perahu Terbalik)

8.00 am - Berangkat dari hotel menuju ke Tangkuban Perahu. Tempat ni adalah legenda dari kisah Sang Kuriang dan ibunya.

9.30am - Reached Tangkuban Perahu. Suasana sungguh nyaman dan windy. For me tempat ni lebih best dari Kawan Putih (the scenery lah) . But the entrance fees much more expensive than Kawah Putih. Per person cost Rp35.000.

**Tips:

1. Terlalu ramai penjaja jalanan yang akan memujuk anda untuk membeli jualan mereka. If u really think you are interested and like to buy then you can ask the price and start bargain. If you think 50/50, better dont ask. Especially after they agreed with the bargain, if you dont buy, they will get mad. Just ignore them ok.

2. If you interested to go down to Kawah Domas, jungle tracking abaout 1km, try to avoid the tourist guide. You will get POW muahahahahah.

11.00am - Going down to Bandung City to continue visit at Factory Outlet. Before that we stop by at Gerai Sate Kelinci Pak Sapri for lunch. We ordered Sate Kelinci (Rabbit) & Gulai Kelinci. Nyum nyum... enak bangat. Except kat sini jual daging arnab jer tp takde sayur-sayuran. Feel awkward cause i always take vegi in my diet... huhuu.

12.30pm - Visit Rumah Mode, Grande, Blossom, Jetset & Episode. I bought nice & soft Bally wallet AGAIN for my hubby, 2 blouses my self heheh (Ofcourse its PURPLE.. muahahah )
& 2 gaun for each my 2 girls.

3.30pm - Visit Cihampelas Streets. This area are famous with jeans. I bought one pair only. The jeans is very comfortable eventho its an unbranded jeans but its hard to find jeans with my size & the cutting that i like.

7.30pm - Visit Paris Van Java & having dinner at Mie Baso

8.30pm - Go back to hotel and packing for our departure tomorrow.

8.00am - Check out from the hotel. The hotel cost us Rp 1620.000 for 2 rooms & 3 nites stay. About Rp270.000 per person. Its cheap! (RM95 sorang untuk 3 mlm, kat Malaysia ada ker?)

8.30am - Singgah kat Kartika Sari, beli brownies & Pisang Molen. Pisang molen nyer sedap sgt, dlm keta makan time panas2 cicah ngan coklat... perghhhh.
Heading to Jakarta, got trafic jam cause of accident by the treller. **Tips: Kalau flight petang, dri jakarta, better gerak dr Bandung awal pagi untuk mengelakkan perkara diluar jangkaan.

1.30 pm - Sampai Jakarta stop at Mangga 2. Dah tak larat nak jalan so we just having our lunch here.

3.30pm - Sampai Airport. Unfortunately, our flight back to Kuching delayed again till 9pm!

Thank God, Syukur alhamdulillah selamat sampai di Kuching 11.10 pm. Semuanya selamat walaupun ada Trajedi Pengeboman di Jakarta semalam & penularan virus H1N1 yg belum reda.

See u next year Bandung. InsyaAllah kalau ada rezeki.
